I would like to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year and to the Visitation School website. Thank you for your interest in our school and please feel free to contact us with any questions. You will see the links provided to learn more about out academics, policies, programs, extracurricular activities, and weekly updates.
Visitation is a Preschool through eighth grade school that has been educating Kewanee area students since 1895. It is a part of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria (IL) and is supported by the St. John Paul II Parish of Kewanee. We have a proud tradition of outstanding students, well-prepared, caring, and dedicated teachers and staff, dedicated parents, all of whom work tirelessly to support our many programs and activities.
In alignment with our Catholic identity, students start each day with a school wide prayer. They have daily religion classes and join Father John Zilimu to celebrate Mass weekly. On the last Friday of each month, K – 8 students take turns participating in a day-long adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. In addition to this strong foundation in Catholic values, our quality academics allow us to develop the whole child so they will be responsible members of their church, community, and country.
After visiting our website, I invite you to visit our school and see just how exceptional you will find our school and staff. Each child is important and every family is valued.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know community members.
Sincerely,
Wayne Brau
Visitation Catholic School Principal
