With the 2010-11 school year underway, it should be no surprise Visitation Catholic School has increased its enrollment. As being the best choice of education in Kewanee and all of Henry County for Pre-K-8, more parents have seen how investing in their child’s education at Visitation Catholic School is a sound proposition.
As class sizes increased this year, Visitation Catholic School added Mrs. Janelle Gibson to instruct the fifth grade class. Janelle (Ahlgren) Gibson herself is a 2002 Visitation Catholic School Graduate. Janelle was born and raised in Kewanee, where she now resides with her husband Eric. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Monmouth College. While she was attending Visitation Catholic School she decided that she wanted to someday become a teacher. She feels truly blessed to be able to live out that dream at the very place that was her first calling to be a teacher.
Adding this year to Visitation Catholic School enrollment are eleven new students from Pre-K through 8th grade; Cooper Bates - Pre K, Traiden Hier - Pre K, Elena Jackson - Pre K, Natalee Martin - Pre K, Landon Sauer - Pre K, Avery Yepsen - Pre K, Andy Osborne - K, David Mock - 1st, Nick Anderson - 5th, Hector Morales - 5th, Juan Flores - 8th and Rocio Morlaes - 8th. Welcome to our newest students and congratulations to their parents for choosing Visitation Catholic School for their children’s education.
Visitation Catholic School offers the best choice for a Pre-K-8 education for families of St. Mary’s Parish and all area Parishes. And it is never too late for parents and their students to take advantage of the curriculum. If you have ever hesitated to enroll your child, take the time to talk to Mr. Hobin and the Visitation School staff. (If you think it might be a good idea, it probably is!) All will be more than happy to give you a tour and explain how the choice will be good for your child and on a budget you can afford. There is no better way to prepare your children for life than a well-rounded, Christian education.
