FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Visitation Catholic School Introduces All Day Preschool and Multiage Instruction for Enhanced Learning Experience [KEWANEE, Illinois, April 12, 2024]
1. Thursday is Spring Photo Day. Students who are having pictures done may wear whatever their parents choose for these pictures. Because we have guest speakers and visitors coming to our school in the afternoon, students must change to uniforms after the pictures. Thank you very much for your cooperation! We will try to schedule better next year. 2.This Friday is SACK LUNCH ONLY DAY!
The Visitation Kindergarten class is once again sponsoring a Toy Drive for the Marine Corps-Toys for Needy Children. Please bring your donation of a new, unwrapped toy to the school by Friday, December 15th. Thank you so much for your support of our annual project!!!
Starting this Friday, all drop-off and pick-up will be in front of the school. Parents should park along S. Lexington (facing south) or along Central Blvd. (facing west) to avoid children needing to cross the street. Students will be dismissed out the south gym door at the end of the day. Hopefully the roof will be completed by Thursday, Oct. 16th.
You don't want to miss the ice cream social on Sunday, August 17th from 4-7 p.m. Students will be able to take things to their classrooms between 5-6:30. The time frame allows teachers time to enjoy their pie and ice cream and to straighten their rooms before leaving that evening.
The Visitation School Family would like to congratulate Mrs. Katie Carlton and her husband, Chad, at the birth of their daughter, Raelynn Marie. Raelynn, was born Thursday afternoon, weighing 5 lbs., 5 oz. and was 18 inches long. Mrs. Carlton will be the new 6-8 Math and afternoon 4/5 teacher this fall.
For your planning purposes, here's a preview of the August Hot Lunch Menu. Order forms for lunch will be sent home the first day of school and will be due back on Tuesday, August 19th.
First place finisher in the Catholic Schools Week Religion Bee was Sam Burkhart in 4th Grade and second place went to TJ Arzola in 3rd grade. Good job Sam & TJ!
